PALMCOP 2005 Annual Meeting Minutes

The annual business meeting of PALMCOP was called to order at 1:35pm by Grace Cordial, Chair on December 8that SCDAH. The minutes of 2004 were presented by Tally Johnson (2003/2004 Secretary) and approved by the members. Nicholas Butler, Treasurer, presented his 2005 report. The total income to date was $1566.90, total expenses for the year were $1288.32 (Mock Disaster, HOBO data logger kits), and ending balance for the year is $8058.80 (not including income from the Annual Meeting). Cordial reminded members that they can contact their District Representative if they would like to borrow a HOBO data logger kit for their organization. Cordial reported activities of the past year. PALMCOP held two workshops: In April, Harlan Greene and Sharon Bennett presented the Mock Disaster Workshop; in August, Harlan and Sharon presented a Disaster Preparedness Workshop. PALMCOP purchased 5 HOBO data loggers to be shared within each District; worked to keep the National Historical Records Advisory Board operative; but did not prepare newsletters this year. Cordial asked members to update their contact information with Butler to stay informed through frequent emails we send out to members.

Harlan Greene presented Nominating Committee business. Harlan Greene, Chair, Sharon Bennett, and Marie Ferrara made up the committee. Nominations included Nichole Green for District 1(re-nominated), Alan Burns for District 3 (re-nominated), and Debbielee Landi for District 4 (new). There were no nominations from the floor and members approved the Committee’s recommendations.

Business meeting was adjourned by Cordial at 1:45pm.
